HOW TO GET TO İZMİT (INTERCITY TRANSPORTATION):
BY CAR
From Istanbul: ~100 km / 1.5 hours
From Ankara: ~350 km / 4–5 hours
From Bursa: ~130 km / 2 hours
BY TRAIN
From Istanbul:
Marmaray + Regional Train (TCDD Ada Ekspresi)
Take Marmaray (urban & intercity commuter rail) to Gebze (Gebze Garı).
Transfer to the Regional Train (Ada Ekspresi) operating Gebze ↔ Adapazarı.
For İzmit, get off at “İzmit (Kocaeli)” Station.
For the conference venue, you may also disembark at Büyükderbent Station.
Note: A separate ticket is required for the Regional Train.
High-Speed Train (YHT)
Reach Soğutluçeşme, Pendik, or Gebze via Marmaray, bus, or minibus.
Board the Istanbul–Ankara High-Speed Train (YHT) to İzmit (Kocaeli) Station.

BY AIR
İzmit does not have a major commercial airport.
The nearest airport is Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), approximately 70 km away.
Izmit Municipality Bus No. 250 (operated by UlaşımPark) provides direct service every 30 minutes between Sabiha Gökçen Airport and İzmit.
BY BUS
Frequent intercity buses operate from major cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, and İzmit to İzmit Otogarı (the main intercity bus station).
ALTERNATİVE OPTİON FROM İSTANBUL:
Take the Kadıköy – Sabiha Gökçen Airport Metro Line (M4), which runs every 10–15 minutes.
Then transfer to Izmit Municipality Bus No. 250 (operated by UlaşımPark) to reach İzmit.

BY TRAIN
Take the regional Ada Ekspresi train (Gebze – Adapazarı) from İzmit (Kocaeli) YHT Station to Büyükderbent YHT Station (approximately 5 departures per day).
The journey takes about 16 minutes.From Büyükderbent, walk 800 m to the conference venue.

BY BUS
The conference venue, Kartepe Park Hotel, is accessible by buses No. 241, 242, and 243 from İzmit Batı Terminali (İzmit West Bus Terminal), which is located approximately 700 meters from İzmit Train Station.
Note: If you arrive at İzmit Intercity Bus Station (Şehirler Arası İzmit Otogarı) from another city and need to go to İzmit West Bus Terminal (İzmit Batı Terminali), take the tram in the Kuruçeşme direction and get off at Seka Stop (Seka Durağı), which is near the İzmit West Bus Terminal.
